I build fast, tactile web interfaces — and the systems that keep them honest.
Frontend & full-stack developer and Mechanical Engineering undergrad at IIT Guwahati. I care equally about a 60fps scroll and a clean repository layer — building with React/Next.js on the front and Node, FastAPI, and real-time queues underneath.
01About
I treat the browser like a craft surface — pixels, performance, and the layers underneath.
I'm Yash, a developer from Nashik, Maharashtra, currently studying Mechanical Engineering at IIT Guwahati. I picked up web development somewhere between problem sets and never looked back — what started as curiosity about *why* a layout behaved turned into building full products.
These days I work across the stack: real-time dashboards in Next.js, optimization engines in FastAPI + Celery, and MERN apps with proper auth and deployment. I lead web operations for Spirit, IIT Guwahati's technical festival, and build for the Students' Web Committee.
I like problems where the interface and the system both have to be right — fast, accessible front-ends backed by services that stay honest under load.

Started at IIT Guwahati
Joined B.Tech Mechanical Engineering and started teaching myself web development between coursework — chasing the question of why interfaces behave the way they do.
Went full-stack
Built Wanderlust, a MERN booking platform with authentication, RBAC, and cloud media — and shipped it to production on Render.
Real-time & optimization
Built Velora, a vehicle-routing optimization engine on FastAPI, Celery, Redis and VROOM — and earned a Bronze Medal at Kriti.
Leading the web
Became WebOps Head for Spirit and a senior developer on the Students' Web Committee at IIT Guwahati.

Keeping a route-optimization dashboard responsive with Celery + VROOM
Vehicle routing is expensive to compute. Here's how I moved solving off the request path so the UI never blocks — FastAPI, Celery, Redis, and VROOM.

A Mental Model for Next.js App Router Caching
The App Router has four caches, and confusing them is why your data is stale (or never cached at all). Here's the model that finally made it click for me.
